- תְּשוּרָהf. (b. h.; שור, v. שְׁיָירָה I) travellers gift to the host, present. Yalk. Cant. 988 (ref. to תשורי, Cant. 4:8) שעתידין … כת׳ הזו the nations will bring Israel as the travellers gift (alluding to Is. 66:20; cmp. Cant. R. to l. c.). Midr. Till. to Ps. 87 (ref. to תשורי Cant. l. c.) למה נקרא דורון ת׳ דבר נש מסתכלוכ׳ why is a gift called tshurah? Because man looks at it and says, how beautiful! (ed. Bub. שמסתכלין בה ומזמרין; by ref. to Job 7:8); Yalk. ib. 838 (not תשורו).
